Chris Simon & Other Funny Foot Stomps

Here’s a slew of chucklers I found on Youtube. Damn. I couldn’t find George Bell’s karate kick against Kison back in the 80s, nor any memorable NFL football helmet stomps.

Michael Vick the Illiterate

Just testing my proofreading skills on Vickyboy’s letter. Moderately fun, but too time consuming. I now understand why teachers take eons to mark essays.

ESPN vs. TSN, America vs. Canada

Took some screen captures of ESPN and TSN at around 10:00 pm tonight and this is what you see. Is it a surprise? Not really. Americans care about US football, Canadians care about the NHL and tonight, CFL too. Let’s face it, the media caters to people’s interests.
The Canadian….. Despite […]

Toronto Argonauts Lose. See Ya!

The CFL is garbage, but I went to the Argos playoff game today. Why would anyone spend money on something they hate? Well, I didn’t. I got free tickets - the only way I’ll go to a CFL game.
Here’s some background info. I got a voucher through the mail for two […]

Sports Promotions Done Right

Ok. You saw my previous thread about funky commercials, but get a gander at this marketing gem. I hate the CFL. Retarded football. But I’ve turned a new leaf. I now LOVE the CFL. But for different reasons. I have to say this promotion has to be the […]

Rubber Stamp It. Athlete Crime = No Jail Time

The latest compilation of typical athlete crime (in this case, “typical” references quantity not quality), has lead me to believe two things: Crime by a meathead athlete = probation and maybe a fine. Illegal […]

Canadian Football League - Die Please

Here’s a league that should vanish from all sports almanacs….. assuming any even bother to fill their pages with the CFL.
I never followed this league much, aside from the hilarious Rocket Ismail years. I remember seeing the tube plastered with images of Ismail, Gretzky, fat head John Candy and convicted felon Bruce McNall

Trust me, I’m […]

Scandals & Sports - A New League Begins

With scandals flooding every inch of recycled newsprint and dead pixel, wouldn’t it great to invent a new league? Maybe the NSL? And no, I’m not talking about the National Skydiving League. But the National Scandal League.

Imagine a cross-sport league where the point is for its players to commit illegal and absurd […]

This Week’s Moronic Sports Stories

I couldn’t believe my eyes when all the key headlines on my favourite sports page - ESPN - involved complete idiocy. I know what you’re thinking. Let’s jump to ESPN.com. Go ahead, but what purpose are comical stories without comical commentary?
Laugh at these losers. But then cry, since they all earn […]

Sports Crooks, Criminals and Crackpots (updated)

How fitting that I originally wrote this post a few days before Chris Benoit committed big time murder. Time to practice my writing skills and tweak my post below…..
What do Rae Carruth, Dany Heatley, O.J. Simpson, Craig MacTavish, Ugueth Urbina, Mike Danton and Chris Benoit have in common? Homicide. What don’t they […]
