Alex Rios…. Who Gives A F@ck?
Alex Rios gets paid $6.4 million a year. Among the biggest wastes of money on the Blue Jays roster. Some reason every media idiot and baseball pool mag projects this guy to be a .300 hitter/30 HR/100 RBI guy, but if you look at his stats, none of his years come close to that except for 2007.
In 2009, his stats are laughably bad. The guy is doing worse then previous years despite being pegged 3rd in the batting order for most of the year. How bad? Well, here’s a quick snapshot of OF player rankings according to one of my Yahoo pools. Typical stats all baseball pools track with Base on Balls being an irregular addition by our commissioner.
How well is he doing? Last year, Yahoo ranked him 50th, this year 160th. Put it this way…. does anyone know who the fuck Ben Francisco is? I sure don’t. Light hitting Fukudome is ranked ahead of Rios, while Alex is lumped in with trouble making, contract hold-out and underachieving Rowand and JD Drew. Looks like Rios is right where he belongs.

Fuck Me…. Forgot To Predict Round 3…..
…. but I have a good reason for forgetting. I’ll post why in a day or two. The Pens/Canes series hasn’t started yet, so I’ll go with the stupid Pens winning in a quick 5 games. I did get 3/4 right last round.
